I'm gonna make this pretty simple today as far as the hoops picks. In the afternoon take Michigan - wrong team is favored. Tonight take FSU - wrong team is favored. If you want more action, and I know degenerates do, Big 10: TOSU/NW Under 140, tease up Sparty & PSU. Big 12: I would go Under the 155 in Col/Kan, and take the Horns as the Aggies might be spent after last night. ACC: Duke/UMD Under 147. Lines are not up on a few games as of 11 this morning, but if Miss St is getting anything over 3, take them. Also, if USC is getting anything over 3, take them against Arizona. And, most importantly, if UNLV is any kind of dog against SDSU, take them.
Mixed bag there yesterday, but the late games were golden again. All 3 hit with ease as Mizzu/Tex A&M went 20 points over the 137, Wash St easily covered, and UNLV rolled to a 16 point win.
A few quick notes (Larry King style from the McPaper back in the day) on what we witnessed yesterday...The kid from Wazzu who dropped the 43 last night was a real pleasure to watch...UVA pulled one of the worst choke jobs in recent memory as they were up 9 with under 40 seconds left and turned the ball over on 4 possessions. Then got destroyed in OT...The Pimp Coat experiment should be over in Raleigh...Pirate Nation here in NC should be thrilled...Jimmer is now taking close to half BYU's shots in each game...The best thing about UCLA's dismal performance was their dance squad, as always...
I should be able to get a post up with picks by 12 tomorrow.

Switching to the NBA, did you see what happened when the Miami Heat finally took the ball out of LeBron James' hands and put it into Dwayne Wade's late in the fourth quarter? I'd imagine you did because I know your thoughts on LeBron.
I wasn't watching the game too closely, what with all the college hoops on at the time. But, as I've said before, his best role for that team is the Scottie Pippen role. When he accepts that, and I'm guessing he might at some point, the Heat will be a threat. Until then, a disappointment.
If you watched ESPN, they will act like the Big Three all contributed to the victory but if you know basketball and you watched the game, come clutch time it was DWade versus Kobe and DWade was the better player. ESPN tried to credit LeBron for having the instincts to streak towards the basket when DWade stripped Kobe, leading to a breakaway dunk for James. They tried to credit Bosh for his strong performance in the first 3 and 1/2 quarters but when it came down to it LeBron passed on the big shots, Bosh was nowhere to be found and DWade was the best player on the court. For the record, I'd still take Kobe at the end of a game, but DWade isn't far behind.
